The Customer Journey
We understand that installing a full home ventilation system is a significant decision, which is why we’ve designed our customer journey to be transparent, professional, and stress-free. Here’s what you can expect:
Quote
The journey begins with an accurate and detailed quote. To provide this, we ask customers to supply floor plans of the house, including the total area in square metres (sqm). This information allows us to calculate the correct ventilation unit based on the area and occupancy, typically determined by the number of bedrooms in the property. By tailoring the system to the size and layout of your home, we ensure that you get the most efficient and effective solution for your needs. Our quotes are clear and competitive, with no hidden fees.
Site Survey
Following the quote, we arrange a site survey to assess your home in detail. Our qualified team will visit your property to understand the layout, any structural considerations, and the specific ventilation needs of your household. This is a critical step to ensure that the system we design will work efficiently, with proper airflow and heat recovery, while complying with all building regulations.
First Fix
For new homes, the first fix involves installing the ducting and core ventilation components. At this stage, our team will install the ductwork, fans, and ventilation units before walls are plastered or ceilings are finished. This allows the system to be seamlessly integrated into the structure of your home. Our focus during the first fix is on precision and ensuring that everything is installed in the right locations to optimise airflow and system efficiency.
Second Fix
During the second fix, we install the visible components such as control panels, grills, vents, and switches. We ensure that everything is positioned for ease of use, with control panels placed conveniently, allowing you
to manage your home’s air quality and temperature effortlessly. The second fix is when the system begins to take shape and becomes ready for use. Second fix generally occurs after all other building works are complete to
prevent the system being contaminated
Commissioning
The final step is commissioning the system. This involves a thorough check to ensure that everything is working perfectly. We balance the airflow, adjust the settings for optimal performance, and conduct a full system test to make sure it meets the required standards. Our team will also provide you with a comprehensive handover, explaining how to use the system, its maintenance requirements, and tips for keeping it running efficiently. After commissioning, you’ll have a fully functional, energy-efficient ventilation system that improves your home’s air quality and comfort.
