Understanding Your Needs

Our MVHR journey begins with a conversation to understand your specific needs, ensuring a perfect system fit for your home. We’ll cover key aspects like air quality, energy efficiency, and comfort, addressing any questions you may have to provide the ideal solution.

Design Phase

During the design phase, we work with your floor plans to create a customised MVHR system that complies with UK Part F standards. We designate rooms for supply (living areas, bedrooms) or extract (kitchens, bathrooms) to ensure optimal airflow throughout your home.

site visit

During a site visit, our engineer evaluates installation feasibility, identifies the best location for the MVHR unit, and maps out the ducting plan. They’ll also advise on any required builder’s work and supply wall or roof cowls tailored to your home.

Install & Commissioning

Our team handles the installation of the MVHR unit, ducting, and plenums, carefully sealing openings to keep out dust. Once construction is complete, we fine-tune the airflow, fit the valves, and calibrate the system to provide fresh, energy-efficient air throughout your home.

What is MVHR?

Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) is an innovative ventilation solution that enhances indoor air quality while minimising energy waste. It operates by continuously drawing out stale air from spaces like kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms, while at the same time delivering fresh, filtered air to living areas, including bedrooms and lounges. The system’s energy efficiency lies in its ability to recover heat from outgoing air, using it to pre-warm the incoming air, which reduces the need for additional heating.

MVHR systems are designed to foster a healthier, more comfortable living environment. By removing excess moisture and pollutants, they help prevent issues like mould growth and improve overall air quality, supporting a healthier home. For highly insulated or airtight homes, MVHR is essential, as it provides controlled ventilation without the heat loss associated with traditional methods like opening windows.

Modern MVHR units come equipped with filters that capture airborne particles, such as dust, pollen, and pollutants, making them especially beneficial for individuals with allergies or asthma. With the combined benefits of reduced heating costs and enhanced air quality, MVHR is becoming a top choice for energy-efficient homes throughout the UK.
